What We Treat.
Chinese Medicine is a complete system of healthcare that works seamlessly with the body to assist in reversing disease and improving health. Its foundation is based in the acupuncture channels, pathways in the body that affect every aspect of our physical and mental health. Combining acupuncture, herbal medicine, and dietary counseling, we are able to address a very wide range of issues and create permanent changes, even when nothing else seems to be working. Many patients who come in have been dealing with chronic issues that have not responded to modern medicine, while others are simply looking for a natural, safe way to address their health issues.
More specifically, we have had great success helping people with issues such as...

The short answer is most things. Although we don’t claim to cure any disease, acupuncture and Chinese medicine can treat everything from a common cold to issues you’ve had since childhood. It can treat everything from aches and pains to chronic degenerative diseases. Even that random symptom you’ve had that no one else seems to have an answer for. Feel free to reach out with questions about your specific concern.

We do not accept any forms of insurance. However, we can print a super bill for your treatments, and if your insurance company covers acupuncture, they will reimburse you directly.

For the initial visit, we'll spend a lot of time talking in detail about what’s going on, discussing your health needs, your history, and any and all things that you would like to work on. We’ll go through some common diagnostic practices, such as tongue and pulse diagnosis. We’ll then discuss my assessment of what's going on and how we can address it, and finish the session with an acupuncture treatment.
Afterward I’ll build a treatment plan specifically for you that will include acupuncture treatment and frequency, nutritional counseling, herbal medicine or supplements, qi exercises, or daily lifestyle practices that may be needed.

It really depends on the individual and the situation. Generally speaking, the more chronic the problem, the more treatments it will require, while more acute things may resolve themselves after only one or two visits. For the most part, though, treatments involve at least a few sessions done about once per week. Acupuncture is not magic. It is a complex system that actively corrects imbalances in the body, with each session building on the last. Following the nutrition plans, herbs, and lifestyle changes will dramatically increase the efficacy of treatments.

No, this medicine does not work that way. The goal is to get your body functioning at its best and to give you all the tools I can for you to keep it that way. Once things improve, treatment can begin to taper off.
